Shane has more than 18 years of software testing experience in both the United Kingdom and New Zealand, originating from an investment banking background. Shane is passionate about technical testing and specifically performance testing and automation.

Jon co-founded Qual IT back in 2004 and since then has always been the ‘owner’ of all things culture and capability. Jon has a background in finance and banking with over 18 years experience in the software testing industry. Jon’s areas of expertise are test management, strategies and planning gained in a variety of industries throughout Europe, the United Kingdom and New Zealand.
Apart from testing, Jon’s other passion is running his organic smallholding on the Kapiti coast and selecting which pig he’s going to BBQ next.

Ray is a Director and Board Chairman of Qual IT. Ray has extensive experience in the IT industry having founded his own development and software licensing company. Prior to that he was the Global CEO of an international financial services company. With his background in operational management, Ray brings an independent perspective to Qual IT’s strategic and business objectives.
When he is not providing consulting and advisory services he can be found in his workshop on his Kapiti Coast lifestyle block or seeking the true meaning of the word “retirement”.
After performing the role of the Wellington Test Practice Manager for a couple of years, John was appointed as Head of Delivery in 2012 and now in 2016 the General Manager of the Central Region. John’s focus is to oversee account management and service delivery at Qual IT’s key clients.
John has an extensive background in IT management and leadership across a number of industries and disciplines and backed by a Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management from Victoria University.
John is a lover of all things culture and enjoys good sport and good food, and has been known to take advantage of his famous namesake when trying to secure a last minute table at the best restaurants.

After spending many years completing a degree in chemistry, Archie realised that it was much too dangerous to be allowed unaccompanied into a laboratory. A quick about turn led him to IT and a career in Testing.
Archie spent the next 16 years working for several financial institutions and test tool vendors in the UK, focusing on the implementation of test automation and test management tools. He has presented to audiences in Dublin, London and Hamilton and was a reference client for HP Software before moving to New Zealand in 2010.
Archie joined Qual IT as a Consultant and has held a variety of roles within the organisation leading up to him taking over as General Manager in April 2016. Archie is responsible for the operational running of the Northern Region including our accounts in Auckland, Hamilton and the upper north island.
He is making the most of his new life in NZ with his family, learning to fish (slowly), kayaking and open water swimming and generally trying to keep up with his children’s active outdoor life.

Greg is responsible for the continued, sustainable growth of Qual IT. He cut his teeth on 12 years of testing experience in both large organisations and smaller software houses and understands that one size of testing regime does not fit all. It also taught him about the risks that an organisation is exposed to through lack of quality management and he constantly strives to strike a balance between these two factors for clients.
As a previous member of the Senior Management Team of a large local council, Greg has experience in the implementation of both ITIL and COBIT governance frameworks, and holds certification in both.

Andrew has over 20 years business advisory and management experience both in New Zealand and overseas. As the Chief Financial Officer it is Andrew's role to bring his skills as a Chartered Accountant and his passion for operational excellence together to assist Qual IT to meet its strategic and business goals.

Jill joined us at the beginning of 2012 and after performing the role of Portfolio Test Manager for the Transpower account, was appointed Head of Practice and Capability in November 2014. Jill is responsible for the management and development of our people, whilst still maintaining the balance between delivery and capability across all of our regions.
Jill has nearly 25 years experience in the IT industry based in the UK, Asia and New Zealand. Initially this was in software design, development and deliver mainly within engineering, power and marine organisations, but the latter half of her career has been firmly focussed on testing and quality assurance.
Outside of the office, Jill enjoys walking and is just returning to playing golf - which is currently the reason why many good walks are being ruined.
Reg has over 12 years of experience in quality and consulting across multiple sectors. As a certified management consultant Reg is the Principal for Consulting at Qual IT. His passion is in delivering quality for clients through informative quality solution decisions and successfully delivering results to meet business goals. Reg brings his broad range of experience from Telco, Government, Banking (Cards), Lottery Gaming and SAP systems.

James has over 10 years of experience positioning and delivering IT solutions in both the NZ and Australia markets. He is passionate about building solid on-going client engagements through ensuring that requirements are clearly understood and met by positioning the right solution to ensure successful outcomes. James brings his broad range of experience from solution selling across a number of verticals through his previous roles at ViFX, SAP and Samsung. James is responsible for positioning Qual IT’s vast range of services across both the Auckland and wider NZ market.

Patrick joined Qual IT after 20 years as a Senior Consultant in the Wellington recruitment market. Since 1999, Patrick (or Paddy as he is known internally) has been working across the I T & T sector. Starting at the end of Y2k was an interesting time.
Over the past 18 years the sector has changed rapidly, not only in terms of technology but also, and more especially, in the way in which business consumes technology. There is now a far stronger partnership between the business and technology and conversations are more focused on business outcomes than which piece of kit or application you are using. Patrick is equally comfortable working at the people side of solutions/services delivery or the business side.
In his role as BDM, Wellington, Patrick is looking to build on the successes and the reputation that Qual IT has gained over the past 13 years. Key to this will be to ensure that the wider market is aware of the increasing range of Assurance / Testing services that Qual IT provides, as well as the broader service offerings such as Consultancy and Business Analysis that we are bringing to market.
Outside of work, family-life is pretty all consuming with two teenage boys. Patrick is passionate about sports and still an active participant in golf, surfing and the gym (though the football is now just a vicarious pursuit following the youngest around the football field of Wellington). Advocacy for the ASD community is always front of mind as well.
Ola joined QualIT in September 2013 as Resourcing Manager having worked in IT and general Recruitment, Resourcing andHuman Resources roles for the last 16 years. Ola is proud to have worked for a number of successful, New Zealand owned businesses including Optimation, Beyond Services Limited and Maxim Recruitment. Prior to this Ola had an eclectic work history both in New Zealand and overseas having Grape Picked in France, a Dental Assistant in London, Lambing Ewes in Dorset, Nannying in Sussex, to name a few. This unusual combination of skills and experience has helped Ola relate to people from all walks of life and enables her to take a pragmatic approach to the world of recruitment and working with people.

Stacey joined Qual IT in 2011, after a background in Recruitment and Human Resources.
